Your Open Water Course
This program runs over 3 to 4 days and help you to master the fundamentals of safe scuba diving practices and. Once certified you will be able to plan and make your own dives to a maximum depth of 18 meters, without professional supervision.
Our courses start daily (depending on availability or request) in all major languages.
Overview
please allow us some flexibility to adapt this when environmental conditions change.
- Start day : we start nice and relaxed at 16.00 PM with a course introduction where you get to meet your fellow classmates and your instructor. Our class groups will not exceed 4 people, so you will get lots of personal attention and safe supervision.
- Day 1: An easy morning of academic session covers some of scuba diving’s
fundamentals.
Shallow (max. 2 meters) confined water diving in the afternoon introduces you to the skills required as a diver. Your course instructor will help you confidently master these skills in a calm and relaxed manner – after all you are on holiday. - Day 2: Again an easy morning of academics with your instructor, in the afternoon your instructor will take you on your first two Open Water certification dives, at two of Koh Tao’s beautiful dive sites.
- Day 3: Almost certified! In the morning you’ll take the final review with your instructor and go out again in the afternoon for your two final certification dives.
- At 17.00 PM your SSI Open Water Certification Card will be waiting for you in the
dive center, or your instructor will issue your PADI temporary card (certification cards are posted directly from PADI to you). If it sounds easy, that’s because it is.

Getting your well deserved license to dive opens many doors for you. As a certified diver now you can enroll in numerous specialty courses to get more experience under the guidance of an instructor. You will get 10 % discount for all continuing courses you would like to do or you can go fun diving as well at the special discounted rate of 750 THB per dive.
